Smart DRS supported Splanekor 2.0 in Trenčín with an automated return system for reusable cups, helping the one-day cultural event simplify cup collection in a more convenient and sustainable way. The summer event brought the Váh River to life with creative self-built vessels, teamwork, and a shared respect for nature and the river’s surroundings.
Located near the gastro zone, the Smart Collection Point enabled visitors to return NICKNACK reusable cups without an app and receive their deposit refunds instantly to their payment cards.
During the event, the system processed 1,016 returned reusable cups across 474 return sessions, proving that even a compact automated return setup can support busy outdoor events with smooth visitor flow. The successful deployment highlights how smart reusable cup return infrastructure can reduce manual handling, support circular event operations, and make deposit recovery easier for visitors and organisers alike.
